Do you live in north London and want to foster a Muslim child?
Muslim children are best placed with families who can support them in an environment which matches their cultural identity and religious beliefs. We are therefore reaching out to the Muslim community to ask you to come forward and see if you can foster a child.
There are currently more Muslim children in care than there are Muslim foster families to place them with.
We all know that stability and a sense of identity and belonging are important for children. That is why, when children are unable to live with their birth family and come into the care of a local authority, we try and match them to a foster family that can support them in these areas.
We are looking for new families to join our network of experienced foster carers and help us to support the wide range of Muslim children who come into care each year.
Please read our leaflet about fostering in the Muslim community here.

My Foster Child is a Mercy Mission UK initiative designed in partnership with the British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF), to help Muslim children who have come into the care system to preserve their faith identity. They have produced this guide for Muslim families thinking about fostering or adoption. Muslim Adopting and Fostering
